I am a filmmaker based in Bristol and London.
I enjoy working in a range of formats such as music videos, documentaries and shorts films. I like to dabble in different genres from black comedies to dramas. My films have been screened at international and domestic festivals and I’ve been fortunate enough to receive a Royal Television Society Award.
Ebb
My piece for the showcase is a short film called Ebb. The film portrays a lone boy, Carl, who whilst playing cowboys and indians on a desolate beach, chances upon a stranger who threatens his reality. Taking place at a crucial time in Carl’s life, the film is constructed to play with complexity of perception and focuses on the humanitarian crisis of migrant boat crossings from France to the UK.
