Published author, poet and professional scriptwriter
I’m the author of short stories and poems published in literary magazines in Poland (Lampa, Morele i Grejfruty, Nowa Okolica Poetów) as well as in UK (Arnolfini art-zine).
I also received an award for the best treatment at Lato Filmow – the first edition of polish scriptwriting festival in Torun, Poland – in 2006.
I’ve written many episodes of popular TV drama series for polish television, including Na Wspolnej, Fala Zbrodni, Plebania, Zakręcone and – most recently – five episodes of award-winning documentary drama, ‘Lombard. Życie pod zastaw’, for TV Puls.
Currently, I’m interested in writing for a high-end TV drama and for cinema, as well as experimenting with other forms of creative writing.
I’m exploring themes of romantic and family relationships, social issues, mental health, addiction and recovery, as well as our connection with the natural environment and spirituality. My favourite genres are dark comedy, dramedy, psychological drama, magical realism and action films.
